About Us

Billy Lee’s Locksmith was established in 1956 by Billy E. Lee.

Billy E. Lee learned the trade from Mr. Ramseger, a German immigrant, who was the only locksmith around.  As an immigrant, he didn’t have any family here, so when he passed, he left all of his locksmith tools to Mr. Lee.

Billy E. grew the business through the years and trained his son, Billy S. Lee to also be a locksmith.

In 1979, Billy E. decided it was time to retire.  Billy S. took over the business and in 1984 moved to the current location at 500 E Frank Avenue in Lufkin, Texas.

Billy S. trained many locksmiths and was the proud owner of Billy Lee’s Locksmith until his death in 2019.  At that time, his widow, Angela F. Lee took over as the President of the business.  She, along with her son Randal, continue the legacy.

Mr. Ramseger always lived by his “Golden Rule” which was “Be honest and do the best work you can do!”  As an acknowledgement to the legacy he began, Billy Lee’s Locksmith continues to carry it throughout the business today.

We are celebrating 70 years in business in 2026.  We strive to live by the Ramseger “Golden Rule” and hope to carry on the legacy of honesty and integrity for many years to come!
